Sevierville in 3D

  • in3d.jpgRandall Dark Productions announces its second travel show in 3D, a 24 minute program featuring Dolly Parton’s hometown, Sevierville, Tennessee. The program will highlight the attractions, shopping and colorful characters visitors can expect to find there.

    Principal photography began the first week of September 2010, with challenging locations for both the equipment and crew, including subterranean caverns and zipline attractions. Producer Randall Dark says, “Working with a portable 3D camera system will allow me to go into very difficult locations. This will give the audience experiences that previously were impossible to show in 3D. You got to love

Located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Sevierville, TN., is one destination that has become a trendy spot for these trips. Last year, the area played host to a national Great Girlfriends’ Getaway contest and now this lively destination is introducing unique and specially-tailored vacation packages for these ‘female-only’ trips.

Star Fish

  • aquarium.jpgCinemarr Entertainment recently earned a TELLY Award for the current Ripley's Aquarium of the Smokies commercial entitled "Star Fish". The project, directed and produced by S. Shane Marr of Cinemarr Entertainment and shot by director of photography Randall Dark, features a mixture of live action and animation in the 30 second commercial.

Dolly's Hometown Story

  • dolly.jpgDolly Parton talks about her statue, a landmark on the lawn of the Sevier County Courthouse in Sevierville, TN. The statue is a life-size bronze placed under a shady tree. The statue by artist Jim Gray depicts the young, starry-eyed Dolly, barefoot, sitting on a rock with her guitar.

    The motion picture, which was shot and mastered in High Definition, stars Betsy Palmer (Friday the 13th) as the voice of the Bell Witch.

    Closely following the historically documented legend of The Bell Witch of Adams, Tennessee, BELL WITCH: The Movie combines a chilling soundtrack of original and traditional Bluegrass and Americana songs with sweeping, scenic images to create an eerie backdrop for this 200 year-old legend.
